Here is another card I did today for what they call a sketch challenge on a card making website I visit everyday. I am sure this one will go to Mom or Gloria or I will make a duplicate and they both get one!

It has been a little while since I posted some new cards. I usually check my blogs and take some of the other card makers cards and use what I have and do the same colors, sketches, materials etc...
I think even if you set out to case a card directly it still has some of you in it. So here are some I worked on this week. I know, not much to speak of but I am working on some other things too.

Here is a web site that I found after a story Tracy Engel told me. She was invited to attend a presentation of a report students at the local community college were presenting on diversity.
She was asked to bring Jessi because one of there reports was on down syndrome people and Jessi is sort of the local celebrity. Well Jessi was working, so Tra went alone instead. She heard the report on mentally handicapped but another presentation she heard was about gays. Her ears perked up because they mentioned Sayville also know as Gayville and quite a bit of the report was about Sayville and fire Island. There was even a mention of Purple power, which according to this came about because yes you guessed it, the Sayville high colors were purple and gold.

I googled about this and came up with this web site, I put it on my facebook the other day but I don't know if anyone looked. The wacky stuff they say about Sayville and corelation to Sabrina the witch, yes Melissa Joan hart did live in Sayville and then harry Potter. Just check it out.

Kath asked about the card. It is actually shimmery paper that I ran through an embossing plate(I will show you the next time you come over). I think the effect is pretty and it kind of does look like lace.

Alex's room

We just received Alex's duvet and shams, I think they are very pretty. I feel like I still have lots of work to do in her room. However, lets just say I have to get by the pile of clothes on the floor. Totally unacceptable! I am posting this pic so you can see. I still need to hang shelves and maybe look for more wall art. I also redid her frame from her party with her friends. I matched as best I could to her room color. Let me know what you think. I am also going to post a picture of a simple wedding card I made yesterday.

Kind of a quiet day today, gloomy weather, kids out of school and really there was not a place I needed to be.

Here is the new ride I had delivered this morning. She/he is sweet! I have spent the entire morning going over the handbook. Jen got the first call from the handsfree, I think it sounded good. I really haven't driven anywhere yet, I still don't like to waste gas!

I will have to pick Ted up in a while and that might be the maiden voyage. Then off to a soccer game tonight. Enjoy the pics.
