No photos at the moment. I have made some cards this week just to lazy to take pics and post.
Alex made the JV soccer team! She is very excited and it really is an accomplishment being that she is an eighth grader. So now the work begins, school, practice games and I am sure there will be a ton of them.

We did look and drive some new cars this week, we have narrowed the choice but just can"t make a final decision on the style. We both really like the civic hybrid, I like the appearance better than the Prius. I drove both and they are both great handling cars. It is a little strange to get to a stop light and the engine just cuts off, that is something I guess you get used to. We also like the Toyota Rav4. Neat drive! Kevin leaves first thing tomorrow and Alex has a soccer tournament all afternoon so I am not sure a new car will be purchased this weekend. It might just have to wait until Kev is home the next time. I will keep you all posted.

I am about to go enjoy a morning glory muffin I made yesterday. lots of good things in those.

Well I finished the book "Sarah's Key". What a great book, It was an easy read with a lot of emotion. It was written by Tatiana De Rosnay. She is french born in the suburbs of Paris. The story is about the round up of Jews in Paris summer of 1942. The french Police were ordered to to round up the jews and in Paris it is actually called Vel' d Hiv'. Most young French are not taught about this and most French citizens generally ignore that this indeed did happen. The story is fictional but the events real. I would love to pass this book around but it is not mine to share. See if you can get a copy to read published in the US 2007.

Peeky peeky!!
Here is just the start to getting Alex's room done over. Instead of buying the Pottery barn's $80.00
per panel curtain. I decided that I could use Target panels that came in a pair for $17.99. So with $5.00 of ribbon a little stitch witchery(iron on adhesive) I think they came out OK! I have a long way to go with the details like lamps accessories etc... We both love the color the bedding doesn't even come in until after March 12th, so we have some time to play with. I am so glad the green is gone! Thought I would let you all see what I have been doing since Saturday.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Here is a link to show the true PB panels

I have finished the weekend tired and wanting to go to bed before 10. I painted Alex's room this weekend, it looks awesome and I have many things to do to finish "the look" we want. I love the color we painted called violet stone from benjamin moore. I thought I needed a primer to hide the neon green the room was. But the very wise guy from the paint store suggested I get a primer tinted with the color I was painting. Brilliant! Only one coat of primer and one coat of paint and it was finished. I did the primer yesterday and the paint this morning. It dried beautifully. So when I finish a few more details I will post some pics. I used to love to paint but now my hands just hurt for days after. Thanks Mom for the "arthuritis"!

Good night to all

Happy Valentines day!

This post is dedicated to my hubby! I made a few cards to give him but since he is not here I will post them.
Kevin is my love and my best friend, I miss him terribly and do not feel the same when he is not home. We were so used to doing everything together, this year has been hard for both of us.
He knows I love him dearly and can't wait until we can live together once again .

Ok, now for the rest of you, have a wonderful Valentines day with all of your loved ones and appreciate all we have not just one day a year but all the time.

Love to all

Here is my bunco group, they are a fun bunch of ladies. Each one is near and dear, I can't believe I will be a part of this group for 5 years this summer! Some have left and we have added new, we always have fun and a lot of laughs.
I look forward to this group of ladies every month. We all talk about getting together more often but somehow life gets in the way.
Back row l to r
Joanna, Karen, Jennifer, Tee, Josie, Laurie
Front
Donna, Kimmie, Debbie and Me!
Laurie hosted last night, and her husband Mark was there to help her(what a guy!) She made an amazing Hungarian goulash so yummy! Then red velvet cake for dessert. These ladies are my escape from my typical life of running all over with Alex and I appreciate all the months I have gotten to enjoy. Thank you for including me right from the start.

A little Valentine Box

Here is a little box I made to put some goodies in to give to Alex on Valentines day. Looks rather plain without the chocolate but that will soon be remedied.
I really had not planned on doing this today, but I'm sure you all understand the attention deficit we have because of technology. One look at a blog and I'm doing what they showed. Forget the kitchen floor that needs to be done or some of the ironing!
That being said, let me get busy.

So Skyped!

I downloaded Skype today per Brad and Mary Catherine's suggestion. Wow! That is all I can say, I was looking at the three of them in Brooklyn as quick as it takes to answer a call. I am hooked.
We are probably going to set up a call on weekends and I will see them in real time. Love it!
Now we have to get Jen, Chris and Avery and wow what about Kevin.
I am in love with technology, long distance Grandparents unite!

Sorry Jen, but here is the snow you missed! Hard to believe we had two days of 60 degrees. It really does look pretty, we are supposed to get more tonight. After looking at MC's pictures I told her it looks like we live in the country, I guess we do!

My photography leaves a lot to be desired. I will leave all the good pictures to the experts(ie Mary Catherine, Trish). It was just so much fun to have my girls visit. I sure wish I lived closer to have more fun. Matilda is wearing the lining of a little basket. She just thought it would be better as a hat. Matilda and Avery sharing some corner time with Ted and GB(Grandpa Bull). It was so funny to hear Avery calling me Grandma Bull, cute but I think I cringed!
Matilda is really starting to form words, she was repeating in her own way everything she heard.

Super bowl 3 D Really!

So did anyone else get these fabulous glasses when you were out and about before the big game?
Well Jeanne got many of these and we sat there waiting for the end of the 2nd quarter to be able to see 3D. We were pretty disappointed in what we did see, I think one image popped off the screen. We could not believe all the money spent on marketing for a mere couple of seconds! But I guess they got us to watch.

Very sad blogging!

I have been a very bad blogger of late. I have in my defense very busy with the having the time of my life getting to spend some quality time with my family. I enjoyed their visits more than I can say. It has been very nice to get to know Chris and Mary Catherine a little better. I hope they all enjoyed their time in the "country".
Avery and Matilda are so sweet and are so much fun , I love the stages they are in. Their smiles can light up a room!
I will post some pics, I feel like I have been going a hundred miles an hour lately and yesterday when I really did not have a minute to spare Ted decided to eat something (we don't know what)and got very sick. We took him to a the vet, he really was fine but whatever he ate made him violently ill! It was kind of scary.
We are having the Mckeague's over for Super bowl today. Football is a sport I really could care less about, but I think it is more for me about getting together with friends and eating!
I really want to start stamping again, since Christmas I have barely touched my ink and stamps.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
